The storms of life are soon to rage
but now 'tis calm and still
A moment for the deepest breath
renewing of the will
For morn' will find those wicked winds
in gales to rend the soul
Come blowin' with the rising sun
and taking bitter toll

The stars dance in the winter skies
I relish in the peace
So soon the clouds will gather near
and all their hell release
Let this be now my time of rest
these hours before the blow
To sleep, to dream of heaven's quiet
before fate's wrath, I know

This is a great poem. You truly have a way of describing the ebbing of tranquil and the accent of trials.

I always get images in my mind when I read your poetry. In this one I saw a captain writing in a captain's log, knowing a storm was coming on.

I think your poetry is so perfectly written that is allows us all to see many, many, things.

Impressed as always.

Kie

A wonderful metaphor depicting the transitions between our serenity and the other more turbulent times. Beautiful style and flow. I can feel the anticipation and emotion.

Well done
