i felt unworthy of your love.
you did all you could to bring me down,
and i felt so beat, i stuck around.

you were always quick to say,
that if i left, there'd be hell to pay.
i learned to live with blood and doubt...
just wondering what love's about...

i couldn't be what you asked of me.
i felt so bad for being me...
and while you lived, i was left behind.
while you found your dreams, i lost all mine.

you were always quick to make me see,
that if i left, i'm still not free.
i am noone, that is what you said.
and all these lies stuck in my head....

i was never good enough,
i felt unworthy of your love.
until the day i came around,
and picked myself up off the ground.

you were always quick to say,
that if i left, there'd be hell to pay.
but i've been gone for quite a while,
and now i've found a way to smile.

i couldn't be what you asked of me,
and i felt so sad...when you set me free...
but now i live and i'm not behind,
i have all these dreams! they all are mine!

you were always quick to make me see
that if i left, i'm still not free.
i'm noone, that's what you said,
but just like us, these lies are dead.

Unworthy
Huray for you if this poem is for real I am so glad you found your way out.
Anyone that puts another down is trying to control that person. You are someone special. I think this poem will help many who come across it.Nicely written your feelings come through strongly. I think I would drop the-Un- You are very worthy.
