Sorry for the sexist bit, it's only for fun! [bodytext] => My mum is my Mum
What can I say
She gave me this life
And now she must pay

With cooking and washing
And ironing my clothes
I love her to bits
I hope this she knows

Some knowledge of football
Despite what I say
I can’t expect too much
She's a woman anyway
Sorry!

She bails me out
Of troubles in my life
She’s all of the things
I’d like in a wife

Not for the things
She does for me
But how she loves
Everyone so dearly

My Mum’s the best person
That I’ll ever know
In my life other people
They come and they go

But my Mum’s always there
No matter what I do
Mum, you’re my Mum
And I’ll always love you. [comments] => 10 [counter] => 220 [topic] => 38 [informant] => Unaekseveer1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Tributes )

nice write to your MUM. Funny how I don't hear that too often. Although I grew up with that term of MUM. of cousre MOther is what most say, but who cares, great write. I miss my mum and I had written a poem for her. I did graphic put a pic of her and I on it and the poem I wrote. Just for memory sake. I lost her 9yrs. ago in March. So nothing wrong with your thinking. Sexist, well, not really. I think we all get predijuice with our parents being the best then anyone else. :)

Dean, This is a beautiful poem. It really touched my heart. And got me to thinking about my mom. I don't know what I would do with out her. She has always been there for me. And I am really close to her. But that is because the whole time I was growing up it was just me and her, because my Father wasn't there and I have no brothers or sisters. My mom is my best friend. That's how close we are.

Yes Candice,
My Mum is mine too!
Alot of people here frown upon a man having his Mum as his best friend, in public anyway!
I don't care for what they think like this, because you just know that really thiers is to them too, or if not they're only jealous! I wish they'd just grow up on this one!
I was pleased to hear this from you last night when you said she is, it's a very good, happyfying thing to hear.(I know that's not a real word, but it should be!)

With love
Dean;-)

Dean, you are right it's not a word, But maybe it should be.People here don't think that is a good thing for a man to be bestfriends with his mom either, But I think that some men could benifit from being friends with their mom. At least that is what I believe.
