I am going to relieve this life of any more pain
I am going to alleviate myself of any more sorrow
I am going to end this life of dissapointment and disdain

I pray that those who care will understand
I hope the void I leave fills with something better
I want my mortality to drift away int he wind like sand
I hope those who read it find reason in this letter

Like countless times before, I set eyes upon my death
Eerily surgical and sterile, the steel blade glistens bright
Sharpened to precision, I plot the crimson course of death
And await till the coming morning's first light

Reds, pinks and oranges replace the satin night sky
As my final hours emerge, I shed a single tear
Soon it will all be a memory, as I prepare to die
In my bathroom, I prepare to release my pains and fears

My hand trembles as I pick up my blade, cold and true
I hold it to my skin, just enough to feel the sharp edge
With a final breath, I seal my fate and fill my convictions
As I cut, crimson adorns my wrists and escapes swiftly
Staining the floor, which I now lay upon, gasping defeatedly
I slip into my final sleep and finally find that elusive relief [comments] => 4 [counter] => 185 [topic] => 36 [informant] => emphaticplacebo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

this is amazing...you magically create that eerie feeling that surrounds your own suicide through a beautiful use of words...well done

Wow... well it is good that you didn't kill
yourself, but what imagery it was insane! I
enjoyed the rhyme scheme it didn't sound
forced which can be the case at times and
instead really added to the poem. A great
write wow.
