"And Mother," she cried,
as blood fades to the floor,
"these frozen razorblades I store
inside my arm
are straight from your tongue;
or to be more specific,
that bathroom cabinet
which held all the cures
to the ills of myself."

"You said it would be
good for me."

"That lipstick-
it helped me put on a plastic smile,
when underneath it all, there was none.
The mascara-
it helped to blind me to that
which I should see.
My concealer-
it simply finalized my mask."

"And I realize that that
French fry was one too many;
And I realize that
My clothes seem to be getting too tight again."

And once more
The steel plow does its work;
numbs another day's pain
of the lies of the world.
And once more
she cries,
as her blood fades to the floor,

"What a nightmare of a daylight." [comments] => 3 [counter] => 169 [topic] => 72 [informant] => _myonlyone_ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => self-harmpoetry )
