Array ( [sid] => 86530 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Someone Cared Enough [time] => 2005-03-05 15:10:49 [hometext] => Thank you... poetry mom... for blessing me with the idea for this with your poem *Someone Cared Enuff*. The title struck me and I went from there. Thanks again. Love ya! [bodytext] => This hasn’t been an easy year.
It has been filled with so many tears.
The road has been too curvy… too rough
And the pain and anguish too great… too tough…
To bear alone…
And yet you have…
You’ve faced each challenge with strength and courage
And in those trying times… you have wanted to give up… but…
Just when you needed them…
Someone came along.
Someone who cared so much.

Someone who listened to your fragile heart.
When it was falling apart.
When it was crying and screaming from the lonely dark
And always missing its mark.
Starving to be loved…
Craving for someone…
Just to give a damn.
Just to lend a hand.
Just when you needed them…
Someone came along.
Someone who cared so much.

Someone cared enough…
To never give up.
To never let go…
When the going got too tough.
Someone cared enough…
To stick by your side.
Even though… you felt… you were dying inside.
Someone cared enough…
To say… “I love you”.
Just when you needed it the most…
Someone cared enough.

I wish… I could have been there in those trying times
And spared you some of the pain and anguish of the mind.
Or at least… to have soften some of the blows…
When all the pain drove you down so low.
But all I could do was watch from afar
And pray that you found within yourself the desire
To carry on…
To have the courage and strength
When you felt so weak…
To never give up and always seek…
Someone who cared.

Someone cared when you were all alone.
You may not have known…
Because you felt so alone.
But someone did…

Someone cared enough…
To never give up.
To never let go…
When the going got too tough.
Someone cared enough…
To stick by your side.
Even though… you felt… you were dying inside.
Someone cared enough…
To say… “I love you”.
Just when you needed it the most…
Someone cared enough…

That someone… was me!
Always walking by your side…
Sometimes in the flesh… but always in the spirit!
The heart... the mind.
Caring with all my heart.
When you were torn apart.
Someone cared enough.

Someone cared enough…
To never give up.
To never let go…
When the going got too tough.
Someone cared enough…
To stick by your side.
Even though… you felt… you were dying inside.
Someone cared enough…
To say… “I love you”.
Just when you needed it the most…

I think you could have cut out some of the repetition of your write. Although I say those words, I truly loved your write. It was heartfelt. Beautiful at most. You made me feel as if it were meant for me. It was a powerful write that only one sharing your type of gratitude would know. Thank you for sharing.

This is absolutely great Donna.
So beautifully written and expressed.
In my opionion you could cut back some of the repetition in your song lyrics, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise a fantastic song.
Thanks for sharing

Wow girl.
This is so sweet and awesome!
As far as repitiions if they were the ones that needed the luv then they would luv the repititions. i'm so proud my dear sweet daughter. most folks don't understand when a person is alone. Thank u for all the thoughts-n-prayers. I jus can't wait till u can sneek of from your family there and come here to visit me.
If a person writes lyrics they should know that the chourus is repeated after each verse. smile.
I do think u have an idea how much this means to me.
Yomomma luvs u 4-eva,
emy
Still waiting for the photo.
