and in places like your in, your life just isn't fair
You wonder how it happened, and how it got this far
and then you wonder why you are, the person that you are

Your wife she is long gone, your children are gone too
she tried to keep you focused, they lost all faith in you
The money that she saved, she tried to make it stay
You used your own, once it was blown, you then drank hers away

Your dull and worn down image, past its sell by on the shelf
look at you who are you, I barely know myself
The people on park benches, same clothes day in day out
thinking of their lives, and what there all about

Never change my clothes and never have a shave
For years there’s been no job, for drink I am a slave
In my life I am the victim, of alcohol abuse
And for all out there I tell you, for this there's no excuse
