Looking at all those that before me fell
When once I thought I had seen the light
My closest friend murdered me in the night
And I was so far from the truth
But in the night there was nothing I could do
So I look at the gate
Ponder my fate
And turn myself around
Climb out of the ground
Scream out to the heavens
Just give me a chance
I will prove that I'm worth it
I will make sure that this lasts
If I can only have but an hour
I can make it up to you
I will give food to the hungry
Do what you wanted me to
Be merciful I beg you
I wish to change
For my life is not worth life
It has fallen down the drain
And I am dying yet again
A feeling I have felt many times before
But I am friendless in the darkness
As my soul departs again from this world
I arrive back at the gates
And I warily glance inside
And I know that I can not escape
All of the hate that still survived
Although I tried to change my ways
It didn't matter in the end my life I gave
And I have fallen back into my grave
Imbedded in my world of hate
So this life I leave behind
With no mourners at my grave to cry

yes the hate survives when you stab a friend in the back..it even survives the grave..It isn't the hate so much as the hurt..that's what really makes it bad..the other perspective..

The last line really speaks to the aloneness of our existence. I can appreciate that. Dark and brooding. I hope you can lighten up a little in life.

Sincerely
