Melting off in pain
Twisting up in fear
Calling out my name

Mock me from the shadows

Disembodied voices
Razor sharpened words
Dripping of hatred
All that can be heard

Hearts swing from the gallows

Ebon colored eyes
Vacant hollow orbs
Stare at empty space
Light becomes absorbed

Into unfathomed depths

Reflecting images
Metal cast of man
Cold descending steel
Falling from my hand

That sent them to their deaths

Through knee-deep blood I wade
Pushing bones aside
Forging on alone
Slowly lose my mind

Recalling every stroke

Landscape devastated
As death was employed
Vegetation gone
Everything destroyed

No single word was spoke

Hands that I had severed
Sinking underground
Reaching out to me
Try to drag me down

That I may share their fate

A shadow of myself
Appears suddenly
Imploring of me
Return to sanity

And prey it’s not too late

The demons of my dreams
Trapped within the light
Scream and start to flee
As I open eyes

Another day is won

In moments of reprieve
Life returns again
Wander through my day
Might tonight they win

Press on until it’s done

Wow, this was absolutely amazing! I loved every part of it. Such vivid imagery. Your use of language rocked! Have you ever seen What Dreams May Come? Well, this peice reminded me of the Hell in that movie like crazy! Very very good!!!

Ah, still in this seemingly endless battle... I guess most of us are on the brink this past week, huh? :*( I'm hating myself now, because I feel like I can't do anything to help you through this....

Je pleure pour vous, le chasseur chéri de la nuit.. Pourquoi blessez-vous si, Naz doux ? *think I got that right*

I pray that you feel better, and that this 'mental battle' may end very soon. Sending lots of hugs and love! PM me whenever you can. Feel better honey. Forever,

Votre fleur de souffrance. *Stephy*

I thought this was excellent. I love the cadence, the rhymn patter and the way you used the single line every other stanza. I could go on and on. I give it 5.

I can only offer a smile as I drive by and visit my Nazzy friend! On this poem I didn't SPEED! I took my good ol' time! And it was worth the slow pace!
May light shine in your window
Into your darkest night.
May all the demons wither,
With strength you fight the fight!!!

(((((((Naz)))))))))))))
Angel ALWAYS!!!! :-)

Damn - that's potent.

I both love and hate this. This is so clearly....... (I'm anticipating that you'll understand that - so I'll not ramble further).

Arms open wide,

If these are truly your nightmares, I'm sorry. If not, write them down as a screen play and you'll be a millionaire tomorrow...lol

Good luck,

J~

Naz, Am I seeing a trend here of fighting off demons? May you always win the battle; and after today, there is always another tomorrow. If at night a cave of horrors we enter in, then the brightness of the day illuminates the goodness that ultimately resides within....and we find our way out! Sorry if i'm off base, but this just came to me....

Hope I didn;t miss the true meaning
Great poem
