You walked away,
Still my feelings stay.
I want you day after day.
You’re making my heart pay.

Now you constantly smile at me,
You have been different since the party,
Happy to see me on Monday,
And been the same all week oddly.

Could dancing change that much,
We hardly even got near to touch,
Were your emotions some how reached and touched?
Is that a little too much?

Your body language has changed.
It has become more of a friendly exchange.
I have welcomed this change,
Though found it rather strange.

Would you ever hold me again?

i enjoyed the way this poem like another i recently read just seem to lead you from line to line with little or no effort. I know its the rhyming, but it is effective. i also like the shift in the third stanze where it becomes all questions, just for that stanza. The part that got me the most, made me do a double take, was your abrupt stop near the end, then one more line, no rhyme, just a question. you should have figured out by now that i enjoy questions in poetry for no other reason than it makes me pause and wonder, what is the answer. Does he ever hold her again, I really enjoy that facet of your poetry a lot, gives me enjoyment, allows me to think while i read, bob
