The tears
Won't stop flowing
The fears
Won't stop reminding
Me that I might die
From the cancer eating me away inside

The pain doesn't go away
And I wonder if I'll live another day
Or if I was diagnosed too late
To cure the cancer eating me away

My fears of dying
Are increasing
And so is my will for living

Wanting to die
By suicide
No longer
But all that matters
Is this cancer
Wanting to fill its hunger

I know I can't win the fight
To live my life
As a failure I'll die
With the cancer done eating me away inside [comments] => 8 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 48 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

I know how harsh an impact cancer can have on all of us. I'm glad that you are alright, yet I still mourn for those we have lost.

Nice poem, very emotional.

Glad to see it was only a scare, but what you expressed is real. I had a needle biopsy on my throat, it was the longest ten days of waiting, and the thoughts that go through your mind are scarey. Excellent.

Thank God that it was just a scare. Realize it He does protect you, sometimes even when you don't believe.

I am so happy you are ok. A scare is not very nice either. Keep on penning. *S* Cynthia
