Array ( [sid] => 78978 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => ''music'' [time] => 2005-01-08 10:13:12 [hometext] => this poem sucks. but please comment... ive lost my emotional groove, and i need to get back on. [bodytext] => I am lost in the music, so many memories through which it moves impulses and me my adrenalin. It rushes through me so rapid, I can’t help but dancing through the bass notes, and through which it moves me. The lead guitar notes go a different path, and closes the chorus; the drums wrap this whole band into different notes and beats, and makes me start to rock my head side to side. I sway back and forth to the beat, as the D.J. changes the song; I start to move to a different pulse. All of my nerves go numb as the music consumes me in it. All memoirs gone, and memory slate wiped clean as I forget my problems and my name. I close my mind as well my eyes as we all sway to the individual styles of dancing. We all go into full mode and we don’t know the words, we just know the music that’s moving us with its infectious vibrations. We all say nothing and lose ourselves only until the number ends, but for us; it never ends. Our favorite dances still hanging in our minds as we mouth out the words to the music we forgot and danced to before. No, hon...you've not lost your touch at all!! You have put into words (and most eloquently I might add) why music is so very important to so many of us. I escape into my music and obviously you do, too. This is a wonderful piece...I really felt this one.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
