Was burned in my heart and imprinted in my head
Now you tell me I'm just too good for you
That's condesending, and it's not true
Obviously there was something different about me
I was sad and hurt
Everything you didn't want me to be
I fell hard and got stepped on along the way
I'm finally on my knees
Begging you to stay
I don't see why it's so hard for you to love
When you tell me I'm all you're thinking of
If all this is true, then why are we apart?
You're messing with my head
And you're breaking my heart
All I want is for you to tell me you care
Tell me you love me and you'll always be there
I think about all the time we spent together-
way back when
And I silently pray, we'll be together again
