Array ( [sid] => 78841 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Empty Prayers [time] => 2005-01-07 09:35:42 [hometext] => I keep a journal feel free to read it. But this one is about 09 and our reunion [bodytext] => I threw them out almost daily
Figuring I ***** up cause matches like us come around as often as
Halley.
I always told GOD that I’d give everything back.
If he’d just pull one from the sky
and give us another try
I remember the times I slept alone at night
I remember telling myself it serves me right

I remember the day I gave up.
Figured I’d live life by the edge of my cuff
To most I had everything, even the king.
The job, the prestige, but still my heart was under siege.

Over ten years later,
I had ran out of hope,
All I had left to do was cope.
I had thrown the towel in,
Along with the tanqueray gin
To put this charade of a life to an end
I remember the day my phone rang I had had enough,
I remember the day he called my bluff.
The air reeked heavy with kismet
Could this be it?
Could this be the call I had been fantasizing about
My heart began to flutter, and my mind began to doubt
Had he actually caught a prayer and carried it out?
