staring at the photos,
remembering when she was happy,
remembering when her mother
didn’t leave her every night.
She was remembering
hurt her mother caused her
by leaving her like that,
for she was still young,
and needed her mom.
She thought about her brother,
and sister and how they just
left her there with the mother,
unknowing of how she would turn out.
Now her tears formed in
her eyes as she saw the photo,
of them all together, she smiled,
because they were acutely together,
loving each other? Possibly.
The tears gently ran down her face,
wishing things could be the same again.
She was remembering the day,
the day she was loved.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
