Array ( [sid] => 7810 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => My Best Friend [time] => 2002-12-02 03:00:00 [hometext] => Here's a little something that you all can read and think about. [bodytext] => “My Best Friend.”

I had you there by my side,
You were always my best friend.
Through the good and bad times,
You were there until the end.

I had your shoulder to cry on,
And your hand to hold.
You would always make me laugh,
And make me warm in the cold.

You would be the first one,
To help me back up.
I never knew anyone,
That would actually care enough.

That’s why it is so hard,
To say goodbye to you like this.
You left me unaware,
And without a kiss.

I feel like it is my fault,
That I’m not laying there with you.
It’s killing me inside,
Knowing there’s nothing I can do.

So now who’ll hold my hand,
And stand there by my side.
My only friend is gone,
But the tears have just arrived.

If you’re looking down from there,
I hope you can see me now.
And send your hand to hold,
If God would just allow.

I will be with you one day,
Just don’t when that is.
It is so hard to think,
It had to be like this.

So I am just sitting here alone,
Because we are apart.
But I’ll always have a piece of you,
In a special place of my heart.

This is so sad, i'm sure if you showed your best friend this poem it would at least get a conversation started and you both could share your feelings. It's so sad because i thought i had best friends in my life before and they just turned out to be people who stabbed me in the back, but you know for whatever it's worth if i saw any of them write just even one word of somthing like this i would at least hug them and let them know i forgive them for what they had done, i might not be able to be their friend any longer because the trust was broken but at least i'd leave it on a good note....And now that i've written this novel i should hush ..LOL.. This is a beautiful write i think you should show it to your friend.
