Feel free to comment. [bodytext] => Step into the night, the day, the cruel
Uneventful state of apathy: for you
I leave my soul to bear witness to your

Cruelty for I am impossible to tell - a dead-end challenge.
Slip into forgetfulness, the acquiescence -
Your tone is maddening! Why do you persevere

In inquiring, searching, bewildering. Did you know that
Immortality is gained through sacrifice? Ha!
It’s laughter versus the bedroom and the pills.

The endless numbers, bills and drills and sounds
Of summer, the melancholy and nostalgia
Pricks at the fading self-phrenology.

Shelf Descartes, shelf Nietzsche, shelf
Plato himself! Your logic is absent, mine
Is fading, the shroud of ever-nearing

Fate draws, and falls into obscurity.
