And I don't want to take it anymore
We walk the walk with brainwashed pride
We set all of our feelings aside
Continuing on after our friends have died
This pointless war we can not hide

Look at the people booing
All this for a pointless war
Look at the oil we're stealing
Look at what they're feeling
Look how no one's healing
Anyone in this pointless war
We only think of our greed
We don't think of their need

i strongly agree war is pointless and i'm sure this poem would make a great song,if u need any help maken it a song u should get savedbydeath to help u,shes amazing at writing lyrics,but if not i'm sure u'd do an awesome job,keep writen,i really loved this write

"War is pointless" tell that to the soldiers risking their lives everyday for a pointless war its only for you. Don't forget that these soldiers joined the military out of their own free will. That government money isn't just for your college fund. I see alot of talk on here. Wheres the action. "We want action".

And all wars are not pointless. My husband did not join the military for no reason....

| I did not realize that I had done this till it was pointed out to me. I have heard the song a few times, so i guess thats where i got the inspiration to write this but i didn't know i took that much from it. If you read all my other poems you will know i always write similar to this...with repeated phrases or words...i promise i will be careful from now on and watch what i'm writeing....so i guess i should give credit to guns n roses for this poem then....i'm truly sorry..it will never happen again |

I enjoyed it....... It was easy to read but had a really powerful message ...... Aty first i found the very systematic rhyme scheme a little off putting but as i read on i found that it fitted really well , added something to the poem with the reapetation of those lines '' the way weve always done before ''........ I think it would work brillliantly as a song .......

i agree with you that this war did not need to be faught but i do not agree with you that it was for oil it wasnt if we were stealing oil from them wouldnt the prices of oil be going down insted of up??? please tell me becasue i dont understand
