For help on my quest to be free
to speak freely
With a meeley supply of hope to stay alive

Choosing my skill, Poetry
TO kill any obstacle in front of me
And I will succeed
because I know their is nothing that God cannot conquer

Not looking to be honored by society
Just looking for the respect from the people sorrounding me

But you can bet I will get mine
But I'll never leave anyone hanging on the line
Between wars, battles, fights
Hear thugs cry during the midnights
So dark I don't know if I WANT to see light

Forgot what's right or long
And although my words are long
The meaning's even longer
Body slowly growing old when soul needs to grow younger

And it's ashome how you have to fear for your life
While walking down the street during the day or night
The fear of someone pulling out a swithblade or a knife
And there you go laying in the shade cast from a tree in the way of a streetlight
With your eyes closed and blood flows from your weeping heart
Wondering if the last thing you will see
Is the Dark

Or will you open your eyes to a new light
A new sight
Where a mighty hand lifts you
When death sweeps over the land [comments] => 2 [counter] => 216 [topic] => 21 [informant] => RealCrystal [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
