hands so cold as I lift
hot liquid to drink, in thought.
Dreariness of the day
the sharp feeling of the wind
as it finds a way through
a small crack of the door
intensifies the bitter chill.
I look for brighter days
this isn`t helping
just seems to add to the burden.
if I had someone, it wouldn`t
be the just the months ahead,
it wouldn`t be trying to get warm.
I wouldn`t try to tuck myself
deeper into the blankets
deeper inside me.
snows will come and I think I`ll parish
it will cover everything, and let it rest,
I move to the window and the glass
is frosted over, like my heart I think
and scratch a small spot to peek out!

God`s country
and its so cold here.....

No...

Here in my heart...

Mm very entertaining. I thought this was really sweet actually, the connection between winter and your lonely heart. Good luck on defrosting!
