I didn’t think this pain would last

I can see the shadow of death
It haunts me in my dreams
It stands over me while I’m sleeping
And muffles all my screams

Soon it will be over
No more fight left inside
I will let go forever

The sharpened shards of death
Come flying at my soul
Tearing me to pieces
It’s taking all control

It’s killing me so slowly
Making sure I suffer enough
Cannot leave me standing
Holding on is becoming tough

A majorally gripping and intense write...had me on the edge of my seat...so excellently written...and in words that bought such a vivid reality...awesome poem.

This has a great flow to it and paints picture in ones mind, and causes me to feel like the poem is being told about me. I love it...

beautifully written...the depth of this write is unreachable...totally dark and a soothing at the same time...good work...keep it up.
