little bits broken and bleeding I lean over them my tears mix splashing pink puddles glistening shards radiant and bright I cup my hand to the ground the other coaxes and pulls the pieces back to me not once dulled still wonderful and bright now all held in my two palms bend my elbows and press them to my heart pink drops absorbed by my skin my soul opens the pieces return home
