A perfect story that ended so sad
A tale of us being meant to be
As I reminisce what used to be

I used to see life to be so fine
Back when you were still mine
A day never ends without a smile
I used to think life was worthwhile

And you used to gently whisper
How you will love me forever
You used to tell me how much
You really miss my kiss and touch

We used to be together always
We used to stare at each other’s face
And see love through our eyes
Never aware that time really flies

And I used to hold you so close
As you gently kiss my little nose
We used to think we’re meant to be
As I reminisce what used to be

I used to be the man in your heart
I used to think that we’d never part
And now that we are not together
For you are in the arms of another

You used to call me every night
To caress me before I sleep tight
Now I can do nothing more but weep
Without you I cry myself to sleep

We used to dream about each other
As if we are dreaming together
We used to make love all night long
In our world there was nothing wrong

Until the end of time I’ll hold on
To our love and never move on
But now there’s nothing left to see
Only the remains of what used to be

I love this poem...it reminds me of the relationship I used to be in that my heart is kind of stuck in. Made my eyes glossy.
