A smile, a look, a gentle kiss
Only new found love can be like this
Hopes and dreams are shared by two
Tomorrow stretches forever, when love is new
The wedding day dawns clear and blue
With friends and family surrounding the two
Who have vowed to love till death they part
Now their special journey together can start
The sounds of a newborn fill the air
From their love, a new life has come to share
The hopes and dreams once shared by two
That now include a little one clothed in blue
Time moves on, the years fly past
It seems the love they had can’t last
He wants something more to fill his days
He decides it’s time to go separate ways
His moods are dark and filled with anger
She feels fear and a sense of danger
When love turns to hate it can only bring
Sadness and bitterness that covers everything
She is hurt and lost, filled with tears
For the hopes and dreams shared through the years
That now lay shattered like broken glass
She thought their love would forever last
A smile, a look, a gentle kiss
From her children who helped her get through this
Now hopes and dreams are shared by three
Who together can let their spirits soar free.

It's sad but written well.
You've done a great job telling this story.
It's a masterpeice as many out there knows what this is like. I raised my three children alone without any kindda help from their father.
Our children will get us thru anything.

Beautifully penned. A story so many of us have lived in different times and different ways. It is sad when a love turns cold but children can be a life saver and keep you grounded. Mine have been terrific and the grandchildren are now my life and reason to carry on. Your work is excellent.
