You sigh as I sit there and

Why was I caught?
I need to do it
But you won't allow
This time you ask me how
And this time i'll reply
I lift the knife
I slit my wrists, i'll end my life
You'll sob and ask me why
But this time I can not reply

You ask me why I did it
But i don't respond
You sigh as I sit there and
Stare blankly at the wall
You try again but I deny
Finally I'll break down and cry

You ask me again

Good Poem-
My question to you is why-
Is death the only option for acknowledgement-
I can think of other ways to get ones attention-
I'm rambling on as though I know what you felt...Sorry...

thank you for your thoughts but you might have misunderstood. I don't want attention. I wrote this after recieving my mothers attention. This was an attempt to write how i feel and to answer her questions. Attention was the furthest thing from my mind, i purely wanted to write down my feelings. Death at that time would have been welcome, but rather than do that i decided to write down my feelings because i didn't want to give up completely yet.
