Array ( [sid] => 74691 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => For Christine [time] => 2004-12-06 23:07:09 [hometext] => The title will be very decieving... as it has nothing to do with a girl [bodytext] => Softly blowing the world is at ease
Slowly leaving my mind is at peace
There once was a time
When all my words were rhymes
But those days have gone like the sun has gone this night
Do you still believe
That the world should be free
When you look at all the things that have happened to me
Can you now see
Why I can not believe
My mind is fighting softly every hour
My days are tortured my nights gone sour
And the only thing I can think to blame
Has long ago run away
I can not say why I'm lost
It has nothing to do with the battles I've fought
It is my mind and what my mind has caught
Some kind of disease
That prevents all belief
If I begged for help there would be no one to come
The only thing I would get would be the silence of the shunned
So listen now as I speak my last words
Humans do not deserve to be as free as the birds
For we as a race have destroyed what we owned
Killed off wondrous beasts and left the planet disowned
We give no reason for the damage we've done
Yet we think that it is the world that owes us one
Well we owe the world and I now must part
I have tried my best and used up all the good in my heart
Take heed to my sayings for they are all that is left
I was just passing by, the worlds last remaining guest

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
