and has left her with many emotional scars,
because two dark days has passed
since she saw her son last.

As the depressing days went by
she kept on asking God why.
Then she cried and waited for a reply
of why her only son had to die.

She shouted:

Us mothers are tired of all the tears shed
no more long prayers beside their hospital beds.
There has been enough obituaries read,
because were tired of burying our dead.

Not only did you take my son away
you took along my sunshiny days.
Now I sit here thinking of a way
of how to survive just for today.

Why did You even give him life?
Just so he could be sick and forced to fight
in order just to make it through the night.
What You did just wasn't right?

That's when a voice said:

I didn't give him life
just so he could fight.
I gave him purposely to you
so he could bring joy and help you through.

Remember, when you were all alone
at night on the street corners getting stoned.
That's when I sent him to you
so he could help you start anew.

Think back about the jobless situation
and how it brought about frustration.
Remember he give you inspiration
and then you found the determination.

Now I hope you see my child
though he lived a short life he made you smile,
and just because he has passed away
he's up in heaven wide awake.

He wants you to know he thinks of you
and wishes you could have come too.
So, you could watch the angels sing
and watch him receives his wings.

Always remember when times get rough
just pray for the power to be tough,
and put your problems in My hands
because I can give you the power to stand.
