asked her if everything was alright.
She took my hand and said help pray,
that we'll get through this another day.
Years went on with lots of abuse,
till this day, there is no excuse.
The hell my father put us through,
how could someone be so cruel.
Then one day, he broke down,
both knees fell to the ground.
Begging and pleading for dear life,
saying how could I have done this to my wife.
He went through counseling for a year,
and I'm thirty-four and still live in fear.
He's been paying for what he's done,
still,life's no fun.
I've never forgave my father for what he did,
it was years ago and I was just a kid.
My parents are still together
and things have gotten better,
but as for me,I still carry the pain,
I keep myself busy, from going insane.
Still, I love my father, for he is my dad,
the things he's done, still makes me mad.
I try not to dwell on the past,
we're making new memories that will last.
So to anyone out there who's going through this,
I want to make you this wish,
I wish for all the bad and evil to go away,
I will be praying for you, each and everyday.
I'll keep you close in my heart,
and with prayer and strength, you'll make a new start.

To live in fear still to this day. And yet he is still your dad. Even with the pain he caused the hurt. You expressed yourself very well within your write. I bet it took alot for some words like love to come from within. (Still, I love my father, for he is my dad,) Great write.
