where were we?

All smiles in class
how quick the smile does pass.

You use to make us laugh
now we walk down the path

behind your coffin, so light
you tried with all your might.

We missed the tell tale signs
the cuts behind the blinds

the weight you quickly lost
a young life it cost

Fair hair and caring eyes
how were we to know this was our last goodbyes?

Why didnt you say?
We could have helped you stay!

He hurt you deep
that is why you now sleep

away from hurt and pain
allowed to be free again

Grow your wings and fly high
look down upon us from the sky

We will remember you....
