Array ( [sid] => 73765 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => UNDER GOD [time] => 2004-11-30 13:39:45 [hometext] => Not my normal type of poetry but please read and a comment or two would be nice. [bodytext] => Red white and blue,

The AMERICAN flag.

Statue of LIBERTY,

Freedom was made.

The LIBERTY bell,
Cracked held together
by will.

The CONSTITUTION,
Freedom written as
law.

Signs of our nations greatness,
All built on GOD law.

Separation between church
and state.

I can see that,
But GOD is still the law.

Our country was founded on
his words and belief.

Our money still hold's his name,
IN GOD WE TRUST

For all the world to see.

Evil has tried to take his name
and make it mean nothing.

We are founded on GOD this
will never change.

AMERICA land of the free,
Who's foundation basic on
a Christian belief.

Try as they may to take GOD
Out of the land,
Out of the school,
Out of the courtrooms,
Out of the state,
And out of the white house.

Try all you want but GOD
has his place.

Our country was founded on
HIM and this you shall never
erase.

ONE NATION UNDER
GOD
IS HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE.

I appreciate your faith that you have in God. Stay true to that. It can help you throughout turbulent points in life. But I do have to say that there is nothing more dangerous than a murderer (America) who thinks that God is on their side and are willing to justify any actions, no matter how terrible, on this fact that God is on their side. It is important not to fall into arrogance, and to think that the rest of the world is wrong, because that is when you close yourself off from any hope of a unified world, a unified human spirit.

Be True,
Zenmind

Different for you, indeed.
I like this. Obviously, because I agree with the content, but also because I like the structure. Oh, watch your apostrophes. You don't need one in "holds."
