i don't guess the police took her seriously
for, though they watched the street
in front of her home,
her back door was unguarded
she's quite a fighter
but chained in the basement
she doesn't seem quite so fierce
she spit in my face when i tried to kiss her
so i sewed her lips together
and carved my name into her face
after that, she calmed down a bit
i'm not worried though
we've got all the time in the world
she'll come around eventually
i'll see to it
love conquers all
even the will of an ungrateful *****
she WILL love me

i'm terribly sorry to hear
of your dear daughter's disappearance
she and i were the best of friends
though i doubt she spoke of me

wow, I'm finding more and more crazy poets on this site. Nice....This poem is insane. Of course that was your intention. Well done. I like how the story unfolded, through all of the letters. Very creative. This could be expanded into a novel and you could instert each letter into the appropriate place in the story. But I like it how it is.... F*cked up.

this poem has the same kind of chilling feeling that i get when i read "love poem (sort of)" which is still my all time favorite of yours. however this poem is even more morbid and twisted... so obviously i enjoyed it tremendously. i think im going to go lock my door now ~Apryl |
