She knew everything I felt, thought and went through
She no longer comes around
For I locked her away
For I found a new love

You asked me to put her away for good.
But she has been there since I was 10
For ten years she was there
I don’t want to hurt you
I know I promised I never would
It is just getting harder and harder

I don’t want to hurt you
I love you with everything I have
But I want to visit this dear old friend again
I know I promised you I wouldn’t so I can’t

Would one little short visit really hurt?
One trip down memory lane
Visit the waterfall to see if it still only trickles down.
To watch the sunset turn it’s deepest red
One visit couldn’t hurt that much could it?

You are worried that if I visit this friend
Will I ever return?
I know I promised I would never visit her again
So I will put more chains on her cell
Lengthen her sentence
And strongly walk away

I hope I can for I do not want to cause you any pain
No matter how hard it will be for me

their are so many aspects of ourselves...
some make us feel good... but only temporarily... and these are the things that are not our true selves... but only a figment of us... and we have to overcome them... regardless of the fight and struggle we must go through...

nice write... :) and well done

havent been on in a while... hope all is well..
