Array ( [sid] => 72551 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => With the Band [time] => 2004-11-21 14:30:10 [hometext] => I am having a melacholy day and decided to write a poem that actually stems from another I have written down someplace. [bodytext] => Last week I met a man who made me cry,
It wasn't any one thing I could identify,
Just a feeling of great distress,
Disquiet, sadness, impatient unrest,
Sorrow filled me as I looked on,
Watching him play till the end of the song,
Weariness ruled his every move,
Exhaustion slightly tainting his groove,
Sweat slowly trickled down his face,
Eyes shut tight, he kept up his pace,
When the song ended he took a step back,
Arms at his sides, head tilted back,
His chest rose and fell with each shuddery sigh,
I lowered my head and began to cry,
He continued to play as the band went on,
The set was finished in just three more songs,
But from that moment on I couldn't look away,
Hypnotized by the rythm he continued to play,
As if he stood there alone on the stage,
Full of new energy, anger and rage,
He glanced up once and his gaze fell on me,
And I turned to go, not wanting him to see,
How he had touched me and made me cry,
And be unable to answer if he asked me why.

I like that this shows how you didn't want to meet his gaze..afraid he would see something there..cool.
