[hometext] => Every poem has a time and place to be shared; seen, heard, breathed, tasted and touchedI
[bodytext] => I. Unknowing Soul In childhood I was taught. Rituals, traditions. Tossed to and fro. Whims! What is life in reality? But an endless search for truth. What purpose? I've seen those who possess nothing. In their inner most beings. Empty vessels! Why is life? I've asked, in my searching of paths. Eagerly following. Experimental! Only to stumble from what I thought true. Who is life? Questions I have pondered in stages. Throughout life times. Riches gained, ranks achieved, for what? Tears stream between my fingers. Endless my heart cries. II. The Prayer Lord, I come before you and submit my life. Enter my heart, live through me. Forgive me of my evil deeds. Baptize me, submerged by water. Purge me with divine intervention. Cleansed by Your precious Blood. Give me strength to endure. To continue to love mankind. For all the ugliness has made them blind. Mistrusting, despising, unloving and greed. Even strife to lead their way. Give me strength to shed a tear. For those who possess no sympathy. For they have lost heart, turned cold, so cold and are dying. Give me strength to be strong. Ever to stand and fight. The spiritual battles of battles. Never allowing them to slash my heart, And spill my blood upon the cold hard ground. III. The Victory Now I am your spiritual warrior. By Your Blood I am cleansed, forgiven. Filled with pure heart, and assurance. In full armor, I will stand. Given strength, never to waiver. Also great courage, I stand confident. To guard the innocents. From those who wish to devour as prey. With truth, sword and shield. I will guard them. From their evil swords of fire. In You, I will abide.
