Array ( [sid] => 7131 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => I cut... [time] => 2002-11-21 06:40:00 [hometext] => I wrote this a long time ago. i know its not the typical format for poetry but it explains so much about me. I gave this to my coucilor when i started seeing one for depression and it probably told her more in 2 minutes than what would have been said in about 3 hours. I hope you enjoy this... well its hard to enjoy it cos of the context of it but you know what i mean.
Dan [bodytext] => I cut in order to feel
Cos when i'm depressed
I'm numb to the world around me
Once I pass that certain point
I'm stuck, until I cut
Cutting relieves all the pain
All the tension
And all the anger I feel
I don't call or talk to people
During this time of anger and pain
I don't know how to talk about it
I don't know how to deal with it
With all the emotional pain
It's the only way I can get my feelings out
I get scared when yelled at
Because, yelling leads to anger
Which leads to hitting
So, when I am scared, I cry
I know not else how to let it out
I do it not to hurt other people
But, do it in order to feel the pain
To feel the pain physically
And not emotionally
Each cut represents a bad feeling
When the time comes that I feel better
I get scared sometimes
I get scared that maybe
Just maybe i'll hit the vein
The vein in my wrist [comments] => 5 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 13 [informant] => van [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Thankyou. I am getting better slowly and i have a lot of friends in the same boat and they are gradually getting there too. There is light at the end of every tunnel.
