Even my most heart felt thoughts…
They have only brought me here,
Consumed by desperation & fear…

Why aren’t you here?
Why don’t you hold me?
During this time of turmoil,
How could you abandon me?

Now I have awareness,
That I deserve better today…
All of the outside facade,
Won’t make me okay…

Inside it’s a mess,
I tried to let you see…
You turned your back & looked away,
You couldn’t handle such reality…

Your true colors,
Abruptly reached the surface…
Awakened from denial,
I will not settle for this…

I was told that i was too needy.. after a suicide attempt. It wasn't just a slight one..I cut an artery..almost died..my facade was shattered..gone..he didn't like the real me. LOL. The me who needed him. then he was gone. I didn't like that me either..I like your poem..we both deserve better and we'll get better.

Woah! Be glad the true colors arrived abruptly...some of us go years before we see them and realize the time and effort we have wasted. Nice write.

count your blessings good and bad, be thankful for the awareness you have today, the ability to see the true colors today regardless of what you want to think, and the old ways of pushing them far out of your mind to ever even notice before.
Have faith in yourself today, God did not bring you this far to leave you stranded and abandoned. You are an awesome person and deserve the best for yourself, accept nothing less.

Always show your true self to people... If they like or love you for who you are then they will accept you...If not, then they were never really worth your time, right? Take care.
