Letting It Go

|
falling farther and farther down the hill
choking on the dirt and blood
i can see everything so clearly
although my tears freely flood
down my road slowing winding
i can hear the whining
as the dogs bite my ankles
only to bring me down
i look to my wrists
i see the ugly scars
i look up above
and see the shining stars
the ground begins to shake
the earth is caving in
i try to grab ahold of anything in sight
but it all slips through my fingers
try as i might
i finally give in to my fate
when i feel hands touch my face
pulling me from the ground
in his arms i am bound
slowly thawing my hate for myself
he's helping me to let go
i shouldn't hold on to demons from the past
this i finally know

| slowly thawing...I like that. I get a mental picture..and also I find it very hard, speaking for myself to let go of things from the past. I have to, in order to move forward but it's so hard.. a struggle..with a lot of bleeding inside..like your poem..good job! |

Hmmm. The person you speak of must be the most awesome person ever. I have a feeling he's just so amazing that he breaks all measuring instruments that try to scale his amazingness.
