Array ( [sid] => 6991 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => It happened again [time] => 2002-11-18 23:00:00 [hometext] => This happens alot when the guy I like uses my emotions against me, and by reading it, it is pretty much self explanatory... [bodytext] => The phone begins to ring,
I know it's you by the tone,
I hold the receiver to my ear,
"Hello?" I say in a firm voice,
"Whats up?" You respond,
"Nothing" I say shakily,
"What you doin?'" He says quietly,
"Chillin.'" I reply
"Can you come out?"
"If my moms asleep," I say as I walk to look up the stairs to see if any lights are on,
Not a light on at all,
"Okay," I say,"She's asleep."
Then we hang up with a good-bye,
And I open my window,
Pull myself through,
And meet you,
Your clothes smell of cigarette smoke,
And you have on a grin,
As you ask that fatal question,
You know the one where the answer is always yes,
So slowly it begins,
And my knees begin to shake,
Time goes by so slowly,
Then suddenly it's done,
I pick my clothes off up the ground,
Put them on,
And walk away,
A cold shower,
Hot Soup,
A good movie and then sleep.

I really can appreciate art such as this. It makes me feel good to know there are many aspiring writers out there such as you & I.

Keep with the same style of writing. It works for you.

Please view my poems as well. I'd appreciate your feedback.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
