Array ( [sid] => 6915 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Angels Cry [time] => 2002-11-18 05:30:00 [hometext] => One of the hardest poems I ever had too write.
The Phantom [bodytext] => I remember the first time I saw an angel cry,
May 18 2002, the sky was beauitiful, and blue,
That's the day I left for Korea, I was leaving everything I knew,
It was so clear, I was worried, and full of fear,

I didn't want to leave, but the orders came from above me,
The pain I felt, I couldn't show, but my love for you will always grow,
I felt alone and begain to shake, in your eyes I could see your heart break,
A rush of emotions shot through my body like an ice cold ocean,

A wounded heart, trapped in a soldiers soul,
Controling my tears, not allowing them to flow,
Staring into her eyes, finding it hard to say goodbye,
Giving her a kiss, now I can only reminisce,

Everynight I pray, hopeing I'll make it another day,
I close my eyes to sleep, my pillow soaked with tears I weep,
Memories fade, as I think of yesterday,
The pain will burn, until I return,

There I was about to say goodbye,
My wife and mother by my side,
I looked down at my little girl, she had tears in her eyes,
That's when I relized..... Angels cry.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

man! that was one heartbreaking peace, almost makes me wish i had some hidden reserve of magic, to get your whole family back together. I loved you poem...beautiful yet sooooo sad. I kinda got this image of what you were feeling in this paragraph.

"Everynight I pray, hopeing I'll make it another day,
I close my eyes to sleep, my pillow soaked with tears I weep,
Memories fade, as I think of yesterday,
The pain will burn, until I return."

Your pain won't go unnoticed rest assured. There IS a god out there and he IS listening. You guys will be in my prayers. Be strong Phantom :) Take care.
