For his eyes are covered with a crimson sea
Completely consumed by the dark bloody red
I’m wondering now, is he dead?

What beast has slain my dear friend
Brought the moon to this bloody end
Took away his bright light
Taking his beauty out of my sight

Leaving him there for all to see
Covered in blood how could this be
Look at him so tattered and torn
The one who did this I shall scorn

I lay you to rest my sweet friend
I’m sorry that you met your end
To you who are now deceased

The man in the moon can no longer look at me
For his eyes are covered with a crimson sea
Completely consumed by the dark bloody red
I’m wondering now, is he dead?

What beast has slain my dear friend
Brought the moon to this bloody end
Took away his bright light
Taking his beauty out of my sight

Leaving him there for all to see
Covered in blood how could this be
Look at him so tattered and torn

Wow. I was going to go look at the eclipse but I was just to tired and my house is sorruonded with trees. I liked this a lot, and i looooooooooove the moon.

That was amazing, how you used an eclipse to symbolize death, really cool...I would've watched it (if you are talking about the recent one) but it had just rained and there was clouds everywhere...Really amazing poem
