Children sprang all through the giant estate
A certain air of pure happiness surged through tiny bodies
Jubilant laughter gushed from excited mouths
Classy cars were piled in the parking garage
Pink and blue balloons were tied among gates and pillars
Lavish decorations gave life to dull halls
Streamers create a rainbow amid the high ceiling
Their little angel ran her tiny legs into the parlor
Her polished, navy blue shoes clanking on the waxed floor
A cerulean silk dress she was wearing, adorned with white lace
Your smile awoke my soul dear Avalon, my child
It was this toddlers fifth year of birth,
As Marie watched her beloved daughter
Avalon hurriedly ran towards me, tugging on my yellow sundress
She loudly squealed, Can I blow out the candle now!
Her towering, luscious, chocolate cake,
Had been set with five, swirling pink candles
Easton, the proud father, firmly grabbed Avalon around her elfin waist
He lifted her into the air, and she blew out the orange flame
She eyed her gifts like a greedy kid at Christmas
Avalon tore away at the pristine wrapping of her last present,
The box revealed a delicate, porcelain doll with curled blonde hair
The card read: To my cherished child, my star in the ominous dark
