[hometext] => This poem is dedicated to Roy Carns... thanks be to his observations and brilliant words... they became my thoughts... my inspiration... comments appreciated...
[bodytext] => Here it is... This time of year has rolled around again... The summer has quickly faded... Leaving no trace of its existence The harvest starts... The harvest ends... As nature is busy with her paintbrush once again Always changing... always busy... Life spouts... if only for a little while... Then dies... It's out with the old and in with the new Nature's paintbrush and her colorful hues Nature's ready to unvail her annual painting of the leaves Those that just a month ago... were so green With the changing of seasons... comes the changing of the hues... From green to red... Red to yellow... Yellow to orange... Orange to gold... Gold to brown... And brown to winter's chill... As the leaves are striped bare... And winter's chill lies on the ground... All around... Nature's paintbrush gives the landscape a coat of white And chills the air with a bone chilling cold... that seems just right It's a never ending process that churns about every day... of every year As nature's paintbrush returns once again... With its magical tears To paint the spring time flowers with its palette of colorful hues And then to bring the summer and it bright sunshine closer... to me... to you Nature's paintbrush... it never stops... As God the artist... renders such beautiful work art... Year after year...
