Array ( [sid] => 67145 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Shakespeare Language [time] => 2004-10-12 16:32:41 [hometext] => I'm doing GCSE English and we're studying Romeo and Juliet. I am hating the way they speak, can't quite get my head around it!! [bodytext] => An imagination he certainly had
Although not my cup of tea
It's too Olde Worlde and historical
And why do they talk funny?

Oh cometh fortheth and where for 'art thou?
It's just no way to talk
And what's this about boys acting as girls
Was it the way they walked?

But back to the lingo, I just don't understand
It's hard for me to comprehend
There's no need to talk posh
It's just a load of old tosh
All his plays I want to ammend

In my language I'd say, on a bright sunny day
"Hey Romeo, where the bloody hell are you?
Come over here and nibble my ear
We'll even get married if you want to?" [comments] => 4 [counter] => 492 [topic] => 7 [informant] => AliB [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )
