[bodytext] => You were meant to be here, Stay to watch me grow, Not leave so suddenly, Never saying goodbye. I know the illness possessed you, You fought for so long and yet, Is it selfish for me to wish, You could have stayed for longer? I feel like I've done so much wrong, Never making you proud, Disappointed you with my actions, You can't tell me otherwise. You left us all behind, I used to be so angry, Took it out on myself, all that pain, Missing you was the only thing I knew. I cry over the thought of you, All of us still in mourning, The things we never did and said, Constantly playing in my mind. I've decided now is the time, I have to say goodbye, While I'll never forget, I need you to leave me. Thinking of you is tearing me apart, I won't let myself be happy, While the thought of you remains. All I ask of you is to be proud, Of who I am and who I become. To look out for me from up there, And I'll miss you dad, More and more each day.
