I'm just a girl
in a big, big world
and it wouldn't be a big deal
if you hurt me
because I'm just a girl
in this hurtful world
and pain comes in the mail
packaged with betrayal and mean words
I can see you drifting away
like the changing of seasons
and it's cold outside
like how I'm feeling inside
I'm just a girl
in this big, big world
and I'll be okay
if you leave me today
I feel you here beside me
comforting and warm
then I open my eyes
and you're not there
I'm just a girl
in a big, big world
crying from inside
because my heart hurts
Tears fill my eyes
and I'm crying tonight
but now I'm a big, big girl
in a big, big world
and it's not a big deal
if you leave me
even though I'd miss you much
