In quiet corners of noisy pubs
Where spiders sleep and pigeons love
Introverts meet in poets’ dens
Masquerading as angels in love again.

Introverts meet where life is broken
And still inhale the perfume of heaven.
Over a glass of wine, a favourite song
They disappear and bring a friend along.

Elena this is so good. the way you use words is so descriptive

"Where spiders sleep and pigeons love"

that says such a lot to me...I think I know the place lol

Ohhhhh, I like this Elena! I am partial to writes about poetry or about poets anyway... but... this is a terrific spin on it. I do think a fair percentage of poets are introverts... many, I think, are satisfied with the writing and have no inclination to vocalize it or to be the center of attention. We write, perhaps, what we cannot otherwise say.

Someone once commented on one of my poems and said something to the effect of "It takes a poet to know a poet". At the risk of being redundant - I think that applies here. Very well done!
