Array ( [sid] => 64703 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Only [time] => 2004-09-22 08:40:09 [hometext] => this was mainly a charecter sketch for my eng class but i like the word flow in it..take it for whats it's worth [bodytext] => She walks into a room and dark becomes light. Her smile will chase away anyone’s fear. She is only a mere nineteen-year-old girl, yet her will is strong. She knows what she wants and she won’t let anyone or anything come between her and her destiny. She is a born leader – authoritative and stubborn. Yet, if her best friend needs a helping hand, she will be the first one at her side.

Her strong faith in God is what keeps her living day to day. The trust in her savior and the peace he brings is her strength. She never falters in what she believes and she would lay her life down in the name of Jesus Christ. She is no perfect and that she knows, yet she strives to become the woman that Christ wants her to be. She struggles with life’s curveballs and yet she clings to the one that picks her up when she falls.

There is never a doubt when she enters a room; her consistent laugh lets everyone know that she has entered the building. She is always smiling and laughing, which in return, makes the entire room or whomever she is with smile and laugh. In the same why, sarcasm is also her very nature. If there were one thing that she is known for, it would be her sarcasm.

A hardcore, insensitive image is what she shows. Her heart is guarded by brick walls and no one sees the real her, for she has been hurt many times before. So to keep herself safe, she creates a mask in which she shows the world. However deep inside she loves to love and loves to be loved. Her compassion for people overflows in her heart, yet her tears are shielded. She never cries when people are looking at her, however alone in her room, her deep green eyes are drowned in a pool of tears in order to release the struggles of her heart.

She doesn’t like people to see her for who she is because she is afraid that they will laugh at her as they once did a time before. Yet, what she doesn’t realize is that the plain-looking little girl with mousy brown hair and thick glasses who only clung to herself because of what other children would say, has transformed into a red-headed beauty queen with penetrating green eyes and a sparkling smile. However, when she looks in the mirror, she still sees the plain little girl. And so when anyone tells her that she is beautiful, she forces the idea away with a jeering laugh, yet the truth that she is a beauty queen still remains.

With her eyes and her smile she see straight through my lies and my acts. As I know her for her, she knows me for me. She never gave me a chance to run, she was persistent in getting to know me. We see each other like no one else sees the other. She speaks gently into my life with compassion and wisdom. She lets me cry when I am frustrated. I wish I knew why I am the only one that sees her deep tears, but yet she is the only one that has seen mine. She is my support, my sister, my best friend.
