A silence so loud that it’s blinding
The blade in her hand is the only resort
But the blood in her veins makes it binding

To stop what she starts, she must want it to be
But her will is too weak to withstand
She lives with a burden that no one can see
So she bleeds just to know she still can

The tears that would fall from their eyes if she told
Now flow from the slits on her wrist
Her body is weary, her soul far too old
Temptation too real to resist

Shadows of pain help her wounds start to mend
As her life falls apart at the seams
She clutches the razor, her start is her end
And with no one to hear her, she screams [comments] => 2 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 36 [informant] => SuicideParty [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )
Fleeting Prayers

oh my god, wow. This poem is AMAZING. I cried when I read it. Your poor friend, I hope she knows she's not alone, so many girls cut themselves, it's so sad. But I do understand..physical pain is so much easier to deal with than emotional pain. My heart goes out to you and your friend. Best wishes..
