It never goes away, the pain I feel this day
of loneliness surrounding me, draining me
I wish I could be with someone
someone who wants me for me
The love from my family is not enough
I need something more to fill that spot
but no one will ever give me that shot
no one knows the true me
If someone could just look past
all the imperfect things I have
and all the mistakes I make
being hurt again is a chance I'll take
because being so alone is something I can bear
but when no one even gives me that chance
it just isn't fair, so I feel a wave of despair
flow over my mind and into my heart
crushing every hope I have
