Array ( [sid] => 63808 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Weight of Uncertainty [time] => 2004-09-15 07:57:53 [hometext] => I was feeling depressed when I wrote this poem so I wrote it to try and express my feelings at the time. [bodytext] => I'm lost in the maze of confusion within my mind
I can't see where I'm going, I feel like I've gone blind
Trying to decipher all these riddles in my brain
has me thinking that I'm slowly going insane

Everything is so dark and dreary, the horizon is bleak
I feel really tiny, totally helpless and oh so meek
I don't know where I am going, and I don't really care
I'm moving in every direction but not going anywhere

I feel like I am losing, no matter how hard I try
The more that I fail, the more I wonder why
I don't know why I listen to the voices in my head
They will never shut up, except for maybe when I am dead

Luck is only an illusion, everything is a result of fate
Where hardly anything is early cos I'm always running late
This life is basically like a whole lot of bad dreams
Which may seem to be real but never quite how it seems

So if you are walking past me, please don't stop and stare
This isn't your life story, welcome to my nightmare
Life ain't always roses, we know this much is true
Beggars can't be choosers, so what’s your point of view?

I read this poem aloud and it sounded fantastic.

Writing emotion is so therapeutic isn't it? I think so.

Depression is like a passing cloud over the sun sometimes. Its there for a bit and when it passes it reminds us that the sun will shine again.

Very enjoyable poem, well expressed.

Kie
